About

Li Ark is an alternative rock band formed at Darmstadt — nearby Frankfurt, famous for it's art nouveau — in early 2009, and consists of Christian Heyse (drums), Dennis Jakobi (bass), Shamidt (guitars) and Christian Strauss (vocals). Inspired by past projects such as Mangrove 51, Ninos Santos and Planet Ersag, Li Ark creates a musical cross-over from rock, pop, reggae, dub and funk.

The guide of the Centralstation says:

Am Donnerstag, dem 25. November, kann in der gemütlichen Atmosphäre der RockLounge in der Centralstation mit Li Ark gefeiert werden. Für drei Euro Eintritt oder für sechs Euro inklusive CD sollte man sich dieses Event auf keinen Fall entgehen lassen. Die RockLounge wird unterstützt vom Verein Kulturfreunde Centralstation e.V. und bietet regionalen Bands eine Plattform, sich live und direkt dem Publikum zu präsentieren. Der Eintrittserlös geht komplett an die Band.

Li Ark will open the famous Open Air am Steinbrücker Teich on August 21 around hot 18:30 Uhr on the main stage.

Note:

Because Mr. Strauss is still in California doing an internship at a surf company, Li Ark will perform the gig together with Felix Rosenberger (former Plowking) on vocals.

Li Ark finally has a name, and plays as Monkey Island at the Splatatta Open Air Festival. Also in the run were: Boxer Packy, Gretha, The Super, Rose Tints My World, Bye! Good, We Talk To Animals etc.
